May 16: Osaka
We actually arrived at Osaka on May 15 and took a day to adjust to the time zone and to explore the St. Regis Hotel and environs. Japan high rise hotels assure security by having all visitors arrive at reception which is above or below the floors with rooms. A second bank of elevators puts one at one’s room floor using the room key to activate that second elevator.
